Terms of Service

By purchasing or using ShowMode, you agree to these terms. They are short on purpose. If anything is unclear, email hi@getshowmode.com and we will explain.

What you are buying

ShowMode is a Mac application sold as a one-time purchase. There is no subscription. When you buy a license, you can install and use ShowMode on the Macs you personally own and use. Your license includes all updates we ship to the version you bought (the major version number on your license).

Future major versions

If we release a major new version (for example, ShowMode 2.0) with substantial new features, that may be sold as a separate paid upgrade. We will tell you clearly at the time and never auto-charge you. Your existing license will continue to work for the version you bought, indefinitely.

Refunds

If ShowMode does not work as described, or if you change your mind within 30 days of purchase, email hi@getshowmode.com for a refund. No questions asked. Refunds are processed through Lemon Squeezy and typically arrive in 3–10 business days depending on your bank.

License

Your purchase gives you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual license to use ShowMode on Macs you control. You may not redistribute the application, share license keys, or attempt to defeat license verification. You may make backup copies for personal use.

What we don't promise

ShowMode is provided as-is. We make every effort to ship a reliable product, but we cannot guarantee it works perfectly with every Mac, every macOS version, every audio device, or every third-party app. If something is broken, tell us — we will try to fix it. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the license.

Updates and discontinuation

We will continue to update ShowMode to remain compatible with current macOS releases for as long as we maintain the product. If we ever decide to stop development, we will publish a notice and continue to honor existing licenses.

Acceptable use

Do not use ShowMode for anything illegal in your jurisdiction. Do not use it to harm, deceive, or surveil other people. ShowMode does not have any features that could plausibly be used for those purposes, but we are saying it anyway.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that affects you (for example, refund policy or license scope), we will email everyone with an active license. Minor wording cleanups will be made silently with the date at the top updated.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Los Angeles County, California.
